Hard to imagine for some, perhaps, but 7-Eleven Canada has applied under "public notice" with Ontario's Alcohol and Gaming Commission to serve alcohol in dozens of its convenience stores across the province.

A spokesman for the provincial agency confirmed on Tuesday that liquor sales licence applications have been filed for 61 locations across Ontario, including five in Windsor and one in Leamington.
