Montreal's Uniburger voted No. 1 burger joint in Canada

When Younes Bengeloune moved to Montreal from Los Angeles in 2002, he noticed that his new hometown was missing something.

in a phone interview Tuesday. “So it was always in the back of my mind
that I’d like to open (a restaurant like that).”
It took a while,
but Bengeloune made the dream a reality in March 2013, opening the first
Uniburger outlet on Ontario St. E. It was in the same location as the
legendary burger emporium La Paryse, right at the corner of Sanguinet
St. This past October, the original Uniburger moved one block east, to
the corner of St. Denis St.
Along the way, he set up two other
Uniburger restos, one at Côte-des-Neiges and Côte-Ste-Catherine Rds. in
November 2014 and the third on Notre Dame St. W. in St-Henri in October
